Sony's "super mid-range" Xperia XA1 is coming to Singapore on 6th May

Building on last year's Xperia XA smartphones, Sony has just announced the launch of its new "super mid-range" Xperia XA1 smartphone, which will be available in Singapore on 6th May 2017. First unveiled at MWC in February, the XA1 has a 5-inch 720p display, and is powered by a Mediatek Helio P20 processor. Its best feature seems to be its 23-megapixel, f/2.0 rear camera with its 1/2.3-inch Sony ExmorTMRS mobile sensor. On the front, there's an 8-megapixel 23mm wide-angle camera.

The XA1 also includes a new software feature called “Xperia Actions”, which Sony claims will learn user habits and automatically change settings and manage apps according. For example, when you go to bed your Xperia can learn your bedtime routine and automatically adjust the screen brightness and call volume.

The Xperia XA1 will be available in Gold, Black and White at a suggested retail price of S$398 from Sony Store, Sony Centre, M1, Singtel, StarHub and authorized retail partners by 6 May 2017.
