Sony Xperia Z Set to Hit Stores on 1 Mar (Update)

Sony Mobile has announced that its latest flagship smartphone, Xperia Z, will be available in Singapore from 1 March 2013.

Unveiled at CES 2013, the Xperia Z comes stocked with a 1.5GHz asynchronous quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM, and runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. It includes a 5-inch 1080 x 1920p Full HD Reality Display (that's dust and water resistant) with Mobile Bravia Engine 2, 13-megapixel Fast Capture camera with Exmor RS for mobile, HDR video, Superior Auto and Noise Reduction to capture sharp images and videos in any conditions. Also, it features a Battery Stamina mode which enhances the standby period by at least four times.

In black, white, and purple*, the Sony Xperia Z will hit the Xperia Store, Sony Stores, and Sony Centres on 1 Mar. It will also be retailing at all telcos starting 2 Mar onwards, at S$988 without contract. Customers can place their pre-orders from 15 to 24 Feb at the Xperia Store, Sony Stores, and Sony Centres, and be entitled to an exclusive gift. Customers can also pre-order at StarHub, SingTel, or M1.

*Xperia Z purple will be available on 1 March at Xperia Store, Sony Stores and Sony Centres, and at all telco operators from 2 March.
