While you're still reeling from the various smartphones and tablets announcements from IFA 2011, here's something closer to home: Sony Singapore will be taking pre-orders for its upcoming Sony Tablet S.
The Sony tablet will be powered by Google Android 3.0, and the usual suspects for its hardware specifications includes NVIDIA's Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a 16GB or 32GB configuration for its internal storage and a 9.4-inch display. Like most manufacturers, Sony adds a few customization to the Android tablet, such as a built-in A/V remote control app.
Pricing and availability date for the Tablet S hasn't been announced for Singapore, though a rough idea can be gleamed from its US$499.99 and US$599.99 pricing for the 16GB and 32GB variants. You can sign-up here to receive notifications and pre-order the Sony tablet from 29th September.
We will be following up with more news and a review of the Sony Tablet S once it reaches our labs.
