LG may not be the only phone maker to release a Nexus phone as two photos of a Sony-made Nexus smartphone leaked on Picasa.
According to XperiaBlog, the device is branded as the Sony Nexus X. Besides the absence of the Xperia branding, the Nexus X looks similar to the recently announced Xperia T. While the photo seems authentic, the lack of a Google search bar on its home screen suggests that the device is either a fake or that the software is not final.
The Wall Street Journal first reported in May that Google is launching up to five Nexus devices this year. NTT DoCoMo's leaked roadmap also reveals at least three Nexus phones with each coming from LG. Samsung and Sony.
Following these reports, DigiTimes also claims that HTC, LG and Sony are all "potential partners" in the new Nexus programme that Google is alleged to be embarking on. Up till today, we've seen plenty of the LG Nexus phone but not from the others, which makes us question whether Google is indeed releasing more than one Nexus smartphone this year.
