Sony Introduces New Walkman Media Players
Sony displayed their commitment to the Walkman range with the introduction of the NWZ-Z1050 portable music player a few months back. They have now added a whole range of new devices to the Walkman range increasing the options available to consumers.
The best offering from the new products is the Sony Walkman NWZ-F800 which runs on Google Android 4.0 and an NVIDIA Tegra II dual-core processor. Though the operating system is better than the NWZ-Z1050's Froyo, the device falls slightly short on other counts when compared to its older brother. Its screen size is considerably smaller measuring in at 3.5-inches as compared to the 4.3-inch display of the NWZ-Z1050. However, the S Master Digital amplifier and FLAC compatibility of the NWZ-F800 makes it worth consideration. The NWZ-F800 also has 512MB of RAM and will come in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models.
Also included in the new releases is NWZ-S770BT which comes with a pair of convenient Bluetooth headphones. Four Clear Audio Technologies Digital Sound Enhancement Engine technologies are present to help out in the performance department. The device is also capable of 36 hours of music playback on a single charge.
The NWZ-E470, E470K and E570 round off the new collection and are only 7.0mm slim. They feature four different Clear Audio Technologies, VPT, and Dynamic Normaliser by Sony and offer up to 36 hours of music and six hours of video playback. The devices also feature two free pre-installed games. The NWZ-E470K comes with a speaker, while the NWZ-E570 brings digital noise cancelling to the table.
Besides the NWZ-F800 which will become available in October 2012, the rest of the Sony Walkman products will be on shelves in August 2012.
