Skin your iPhone 6S in gold and diamonds

All that glitters isn't gold. There's also diamonds and platinum, according to Brikks.

This one is for all the fancy-dandy people out there with more money than ways to spend it. Brikk, a couture maker for ridiculously expensive stuff, is taking pre-orders for their glamorized versions of the iPhone 6S, even before the actual devices have been announced.

The Lux iPhone 6S uses 5.0-micron thin plating, encasing the phone in alluring 24-carat yellow gold, pink gold, or 950 platinum. How it’s done is the original iPhone 6S is first taken apart before given a hand-polish and other necessary preparation before the plating commences. Plating comes in five layers of various metals underneath, before layering two final coats with the client’s choice of glitz. The iPhone 6S is finally re-assembled, and will be tested before being shipped back to their respective buyers.

If that isn’t opulent enough for you, Brikk offers far more decadent versions of the Lux coating. Dubbed the Diamond Select and Diamond Omni models, these versions can contain up to 50 carats’ worth of diamonds of VVS clarity that form the Brikks logo, set using a microscope within a machined bezel. You can also request for the Lux 6S Secure, where Brikks will also include a 256-bit software encryption for protected communication. The Omni model will also net you the phone packaged in a custom Zero Halliburton case with carbon fiber and suede leather interior, with user manual and all accessories standard to the device.

If you have to ask how much a Lux iPhone 6S cost, then you certainly can’t afford one. But we’ve been told that a phone starts from US$7,995 (S$11,304) and it goes up to US$199,995 (S$282,617) with a one year warranty. As mentioned above, US-based Brikks is now accepting pre-orders for the Lux. The first batch of phones will start shipping three to four weeks after the proper official launch of the iPhone 6S by Apple themselves.

Apple Watch, with the Lux treatment.

If you want to extend your street cred to the Apple Watch, you’re also in luck. The Lux Watch also comes in three variations of exorbitance. If your phone is going to receive the Lux treatment, you may as well go all out, right?
