Six to Eight New HTC Devices by End of 2011

As part of its Q2 financial results presentation, HTC unveiled its intentions to release about six to eight new devices running on the Google Android and Windows Phone 7 platforms by end of the year. The new devices will include mobile phones and tablets.

According to SlashGear, HTC mentioned that the majority of new devices will run on the Google Android platform. The Taiwanese company also stated that it had bigger expectations for tablets in 2012.

HTC was pretty active in the first half of 2011 with the release of its first tablet, the Flyer and its first dual-core smartphone, the HTC Sensation. With more devices in the pipelines for the second half, we can hardly contain our excitement pondering over these questions: Is HTC going to manufacture the next Google Nexus phone? Are we going to see the successor to the Flyer? Are the Android devices going to run on the next Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich? Will HTC have any Mango-powered phones?
