A leaked internal email by Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, EVP, Consumer Group of SingTel to staff calling for volunteers has revealed details of the iPhone 4 launch plans in Singapore. Based on the contents of the leaked email, Apple's iPhone 4 launch looks to be launched at midnight on 30th July, and SingTel has called for volunteers among their staff to help manage the expected crowd. A SingTel spokesperson declined to comment on the details of the leaked email but would only state that the company's staff are enthusiastic in rallying behind the iPhone 4 launch.

Operating hours: 29 Jul 2359 hrs to 30 Jul 9.00pm & 31 Jul 11.00am to 9.00pm
We need at least 70 volunteers as we are expecting to have an influx of people during the launch. Besides temporary staff, it is estimated that we need more than 300 staff over the 4 days to help engage and brief our customers on price plans and features of the iPhone 4.
While speculation has been rampant on which Singapore telco would actually launch the iPhone 4, and with M1 launching their iPhone 4 interest registration page first, it would have seemed that M1 would be the first to launch in Singapore. The details of the emails state otherwise, but we'll be following up with both M1 and StarHub on their iPhone 4 launch plans.
The original leaked email post has since been deleted, but a copy can still be
found here. It seems that the quote, too, has been removed.
