*Update on 5/4/2013: Following our earlier news posted on 21st March, Samsung Mobile Singapore has now confirmed that the retail unit of the Galaxy S4 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.9GHz processor. The company currently has no plans to bring in the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S4.

Consumers in Singapore will be getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 if the list obtained by SamMobile turns out to be accurate. According to the list, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Australia and certain countries in Europe will also be getting the Snapdragon variant.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon variant is given the model number, GT-19505, which appears to suggest that this model supports 4G LTE. Last year, we spotted an entry in IDA Equipment Search List that labelled the Samsung Galaxy Note II as GT-N7105, and 4G LTE capability was included as part of the device's specifications. Samsung Mobile Singapore confirmed later that it was indeed bringing in the 4G variant.

During the hands-on session of the Samsung Galaxy S4, a company spokesperson told us that there are two variants of the Galaxy S4 - one that runs on Exynos 5 Octa 1.6GHz processor (the international model) and one that is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 1.9GHz processor (specific regions).

There are three other Android smartphones that are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processors. They are the ASUS PadFone Infinity, HTC One and LG Optimus G Pro. Based on our review of the HTC One, the Snapdragon 600 processor proves itself to be the best mobile processor in the market with a whopping 12,413 score on the Quadrant benchmark.

We've reached out to Samsung Mobile Singapore to verify the accuracy of the list and will update this section when we have more information.
