Singapore to Get Exynos and Snapdragon Variants of Samsung Galaxy Note III?

If the list obtained by SamMobile turns out to be accurate, Singapore will be getting both the Exynos 5420 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note III.

SamMobile also states that if a country gets two variants, "it is a decision based on the marketing plan of Samsung." What this means is that Samsung will start shipping the Snapdragon variant first if the country has 4G LTE networks.

Samsung recently shared some information on the new Exynos 5420 octa-core processor, which consists of four ARM Cortex-A15 Quad 1.8GHz  and four Cortex-A7 Quad 1.3GHz. It is built on a 28nm HKMG (High-K Metal Gate) process technology and big.LITTLE architecture. The new Exynos 5420 is a little speedier than the original Exynos 5410 octa-core processor, improved memory bandwidth and a different graphics core.

According to an alleged specs list obtained by SamMobile, the Exynos variant does not support 4G LTE connectivity. If you recall, Samsung Mobile Singapore only launched the 4G variant of the Galaxy Note II last year. Earlier this year, the company used a similar strategy for its Galaxy S4 where it only brought in the Snapdragon variant of the device. Up till today, there is no plan to bring in the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S4.

Is Samsung really going to bring in both variants of the Galaxy Note III for consumers in Singapore? Based on what we've seen so far this year, it seems unlikely that the 3G model will make its way to Singapore. Well, we will only find out on 4 September at IFA 2013 when Samsung officially takes the wraps off the device.
