Singapore becomes the first country outside of Japan to get Casio’s new Exilim EX-FR100 camera
Casio’s Exilim FR-10 was quite a unique camera when it was launched, featuring a detachable design which allows you to place the camera module virtually anywhere while still being able to trigger the camera via the controller unit.
The Exilim EX-FR100 freestyle camera retains the same design, but gains a new 16mm ultra-wide angle lens, a new Intelligent Interval feature, and a new Highlight Movie function, which allows you to pick photos and video from a specific day to be used to create a show-reel that can be uploaded to your smart device and on to social media.
Intelligent Interval shooting uses the Exilim high-speed HS3 engine, sensing technology and image analysis to select only the best images taken during high-speed continuous shooting. This saves you from having to sort through the entire lot after the burst. Images with blur or slant are still retained separately though, so you can pick some to retain if you so wish.
There’s also a range of new accessories for the camera, ranging from a EAM-5 marine case that lets you take the camera down to 20 meters to a LED ring flash attachment to provide more flattering lighting to your photos.
