Seagate Introduces Enhanced Seagate Wireless Plus with Dropbox and Google Drive Integration

Seagate has announced that the Seagate Wireless Plus mobile device storage now consists of a family of capacities at 1TB and 2TB versions with integration with cloud services, such as Dropbox and Google Drive.

On top of streaming your favorite HD video while freeing up space on your Android smartphone/tablet, iPhone/iPad, Kindle Fire, and Windows 8 PCs/RT tablets, the Seagate Media app comes with a new capability to sync your files on the Seagate Wireless Plus storage with an existing cloud storage provider. The Seagate Media app creates your own Dropbox or Google Drive folder, so files are available and at the ready. Then once you are back on the network, your files will automatically re-sync to ensure all changes are saved in both the cloud, and the Wireless Plus drive.

The drive is now available for S$299 (2TB), and S$269 (1TB).

If you've purchased the previous Wireless Plus drive, the new features will be available once its firmware has been updated.
