Screening Of "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" Sets New Tweets Per Second Record

Studio Ghibli fans are sure to embrace this news with arms wide open: Hayao Miyazaki's cult film “Laputa: Castle in the Sky” - one of the 100 best animations of all times - has inadvertently set a new and staggering record of 25,088 tweets per second following its televised screening in Japan on December 9th. The record has been previously set in August following Beyonce's MTV Video Music Awards pregnancy announcement at 8,868 tweets per second - a laughable sum if you compare it to the current record holder.
