Sapphire Pure Platinum A85XT Supports Latest Trinity Family of AMD APUs
Sapphire has developed a motherboard to support the latest Trinity family of APUs from AMD.
A full-sized ATX board, the Sapphire Pure Platinum A85XT supports the latest gen AMD APU A10/A8/A6/A4 series Trinity processors utilizing socket FM2, which supports up to four independent high resolution DX11 displays with its integrated Southern Islands graphics. Based on the AMD A85X chipset, this motherboard offers seven SATA 6Gbps ports, DisplayPort, Dual Link DVI-D, HDMI, and VGA ports.
On top of the usual features a motherboard is equipped with, there's a seven-segment digital debug display and a push button reset for the BIOS, along with start and system reset buttons, all present for enthusiasts who are into performance tuning or overclocking. Also, the board comes with the Sapphire QBIOS, an easy to use UEFI BIOS with many overclocking features.
Also, multi-phase PWM voltage regulation circuitry for both the APU and memory modules incorporate the Sapphire Diamond Black chokes with coolers that are present on Sapphire’s high end graphics cards. The chipset has a totally passive cooling solution and low profile coolers on the PWM section give users a wide choice of APU cooler without risk of obstruction.
