Sapphire Announces Two Radeon HD 7790 Models

Sapphire has introduced two models to its existing HD 7700 series of graphics cards - the Sapphire HD 7790 1GB GDDR5 and the HD 7790 1GB GDDR5 DUAL-X OC.

Based on the latest chipset featuring AMD's GCN architecture with 896 stream processor units, the Sapphire HD 7790 OC comes with core clock and memory clock speeds of 1075MHz and 6400MHz. The card incorporates Sapphire's Dual-X cooler design, which combines a multiple heatpipe array with two aerofoil section fans and dust repelling bearings resulting in a highly efficient and reliable cooler.

It also supports Sapphire's FleX feature, that allows three digital displays to be connected to the DVI and HDMI outputs and used in AMD Eyefinity mode without requiring an external active adapter. All four outputs can be used in AMD Eyefinity mode, but the fourth display must be a DisplayPort monitor or connected with an active adapter.

The Sapphire HD 7790 1GB standard edition shares all the same features as the OC model, but with slightly lower (and reference) core clock and memory clock speeds of 1000MHz and 6000MHz. The card includes a proprietary cooler with dual heatpipes and a single fan.
