Sapphire has added the R9 280 Dual-X and R9 280X Vapor-X models to its lineup of Radeon R9 series of graphics cards.

The former integrates the Sapphire Dual-X cooler, which has two aerofoil fans and graduated heatpipes, and 3GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 5,000GHz DDR, and a GCN core with 1,792 stream processors clocked at 850MHz (up to 940MHz with Boost). The card lets you game at higher resolutions, with support for DX11.2, while its Ultra HD graphics processor can feed even the new 4K displays with the HDMI 1.4a interface or DisplayPort v1.2 outputs. The on-board Dual BIOS supports both UEFI and legacy systems.

Incorporating Sapphire's Vapor-X cooling with its new Tri-X triple fan design, the R9 280X Vapor-X utilizes an enhanced GCN core with 2,048 stream processors, and is factory overclocked to 1GHz core (1,100MHz with Boost) and 6,000MHz DDR memory to deliver optimal performance.

Both models also feature AMD Image Enhancement technology, Power Management, and multi-monitor support with AMD Eyefinity, as well as AMD HD3D support for stereoscopic output. They also support AMD CrossFire for enhanced performance using multiple cards in a suitable CrossFire-enabled mainboard and AMD APP Acceleration.
