Samsung's Memory Fabrication Facility, Line-16 Begins Operation
Samsung's memory fabrication facility, Line-16 has begun operations. It also marks the beginning of the mass production of 20nm-class memory chips. Currently, Line-16 is touted to be the largest facility in the world.
Samsung plans to churn out more than 10,000 12-inch high-performance 20nm-class memory chips every month. The company also has plans to manufacture 10-nm class memory chips by next year.
