Samsung Unveils Curved OLED TV at CES 2013

A curved OLED TV - a few years ago, no one would have thought it possible or practical. At CES this year, Samsung has taken in its own hands to showcase that next-gen technology. As it does not come with a flat surface, content shot on wide-angle would produce an immersive panorama effect that's otherwise not prominent on a flat-planel TV.  Users with reservations on how it might affect or distort the original imagery should have no fear as the curved panel allows the distance between the user and TV screen to be the same from almost any angle.

At this moment, there are no plans for a concrete product yet - Samsung is just displaying the technology -, but we reckon that if there is one, it will most definitely be a niche product to suit specific needs like gaming, retail display or for businesses who require their workers to work with two or more monitors whilst on the job.
