The event invitation for Samsung Unpacked 2016.

Looks like Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S7 on the same day as the LG G5 launch.

According to the latest invite sent out by Samsung, the Korean electronics giant confirmed that they will be launching the Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship phone at its Unpacked 2016 event. It is slated to be on 21st February 2016 at Barcelona, Spain. Previously, Samsung also launched their flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge at last year’s Unpacked event.

This is further verified by the 14-second teaser found on Samsung’s official YouTube channel. It shows a person wearing the Samsung Gear VR headset, reaching out to a box that looks similar to the one in the invite image. The box has the hashtag “#TheNextGalaxy” and the same date superimposed at the end.

The Galaxy S7 variations that will be officially available still remains a mystery, although it is certain that Samsung will be launching at least two versions. We’ve compiled a list of other rumors about the phone’s specifications, neatly arranged for your reference. If you want to be a part of the Galaxy S7’s unveiling, it’s worth noting that Samsung will be live-streaming the event on YouTube and on their own newsroom website.

The event date coincides with the launch of the LG G5, and it is also held in Barcelona. We’re in for watching two Korean rivals heating up the show floor of MWC 2016, one day before the actual conference begins.
