It's been close to two years since Samsung unveiled a tablet with an AMOLED display and it seems that the company is ready to launch another one in 2014.
According to ETNews, Samsung is preparing to launch a 10.5-inch tablet with an AMOLED display as soon as next month, with an announcement slated for Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014.
In the report, ETNews said that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 - Samsung's first tablet with a Super AMOLED Plus display - did not sell well. The company is planning to take a more aggressive strategy this time to market its second AMOLED tablet.
Korean media claimed earlier this month that Samsung has two AMOLED tablets - an 8-inch and a 10-inch model - in the works, and one of them could possibly launch alongside the Galaxy S5.
While the smartphone space is gearing up for a specs race in display resolution, the tablet market is set to be more competitive with talks of bigger and higher resolution displays too. Apple is reported to working on 12-inch iPad Pro models with higher resolution displays for release next year.
