Samsung has filed a complaint against NVIDIA with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC). The South Korean multinational electronics company wants to stop the sale of NVIDIA GPUs in the US market.

According to the company, NVIDIA and its partners have allegedly infringed as many as eight of its patents. The exact devices aren’t specified; however, a Bloomberg report has stated NVIDIA Shield Tablet as the target of an earlier patent infringement lawsuit filed by Samsung. Named in the complaint were PC components manufacturers, Biostar Microtech International Corporation and Elitegroup Computer Systems Company. Hence, it appears Samsung wants to prevent the import of devices and computer components, which feature certain NVIDIA GPUs and systems on a chip (SoCs), to the US market. NVIDIA has responded by saying that they would be “looking forward to pursuing our earlier filed ITC action against Samsung products."
