Samsung’s new Space Monitor saves space, looks just like a wall-mounted TV when not in use

Samsung is good at making TVs that hide cables and the gap between the wall and unit when they're mounted, and it looks like such considered design is coming to the company’s monitors as well.

Just take a look at the new Space Monitor (SR75) that has a slim integrated arm that you can clamp to the table. Using a flexible arm that you can pull to bring the monitor lower and closer to you, it can also be pushed all the way back to store flat against the wall. With power and I/O cables well hidden in the arm, this upright mode looks just like a wall-mounted display with a cable trucking that runs down the bottom.

The Samsung Space Monitor comes in two sizes: the 27-inch model with a WQHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and a 32-inch model that supports 4K, priced at US$400 and US$500 respectively. We’ve no word yet on whether Samsung is bringing this space-saving monitor to Singapore.

Update, Feb 18: Samsung has announced that the Space Monitor will be available in Singapore on 25th March 2019, with pre-order starting 7th March. The 27-inch WQHD model (which also has a 144Hz refresh rate) is priced at S$728, while the 32-inch 4K model is going for S$898. There are also available at Lazada, with the 27-inch model costing S$642.60 and the 32-inch model costing S$779.20.
