Samsung prepares 10 million units of Galaxy S8 for launch in April
ETNews reports that Samsung will produce 10 million units of the Galaxy S8 for its launch in April.
Samsung is feeling confident that its upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone will sell well.
ETNews claims the South Korean electronics company has confirmed that it will be producing 10 million units of the Galaxy S8 for its launch in April. In addition, a production plan was reportedly sent to suppliers earlier this month. The first batch of components is expected to arrive at manufacturing plants next month with mass production starting in March.
Initially planned for release at next month's Mobile World Congress 2017, Samsung is said to have pushed to April so as to have more time to work with external agencies to carry out plans on restoring consumer confidence. Based on the rumors and leaks so far, Samsung seems to have pulled out all stops for a comeback after the disastrous Galaxy Note7 crisis.
The Galaxy S8 is rumored to have a S Pen as an external accessory, a pair of new wireless in-ear headphones, a dual-camera system, Bluetooth 5, no 3.5mm headphone jack, no home button, a new display which is pressure sensitive, 6GB RAM, storage options up to 256GB, virtual reality features, an artificial intelligence assistant, no hardware navigation keys, a front-facing autofocus camera, and a performance enhancing program called "Beast Mode".
