*Update: A Samsung spokesperson told Reuters that the company will be unveiling the next Galaxy Note at the Mobile Unpacked event.
Reuters - "We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29," a Samsung spokesman said on Friday, without elaborating.
Samsung fans, mark your calender! The company is holding its Mobile Unpacked event on 29th August 2012 in Berlin. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note a year ago at the same event, and this year should see the debut of its successor.
The Galaxy Note 2 is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, a design inspired by the Galaxy S III, an improved 8-megapixel camera sensor, 1.5GB RAM and a new Exynos 5250 dual-core processor. The upcoming device may also have a "flexible" AMOLED display as thin as 1mm.
Besides the Galaxy Note 2, Pocket-Lint claimed that Samsung has confirmed the launch of a "new luxury TV" during IFA 2012. This new luxury set would occupy the flagship spot on top of existing Samsung HDTV models.
