With 2013 coming to an end soon, the rumor mill is focused on next year's smartphone technologies and Samsung is certainly on its radar.
According to ZDNet Korea, Samsung is planning to introduce a smartphone with QHD display at Mobile World Congress 2014. While current Android flagship smartphones come with Full-HD displays (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), a smartphone with QHD display resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) will boast four times the sharpness and clarity.
In addition, Samsung is said to be integrating iris verification technology into its smartphones. Considering that Samsung has used the front-facing camera for a number of its software features (Smart Stay, Smart Scroll and Smart Pause) on its mobile devices, it is not far-fetched to say that the company is going a step higher by using iris verification technology for unlocking its devices.
