Samsung Galaxy S6 specs leak online
Samsung Galaxy S6 specs leak online
With the Samsung Galaxy S5 nearly a year old (it was released earlier this year in April), it's a foregone conclusion that Samsung would be working on the successor. Now, reports are emerging online that specs for the new Galaxy phone have been leaked. Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy S5 then released a few months later in April. If Samsung follows that timing, expect the announcement of the Galaxy S6 to come at the next Mobile World Congress, to be held in March next year.
According to a screenshot of a benchmark on Antutu spotted by Chinese site cnmo.com, the purported specs will have the Samsung Galaxy S6 running on Android 5.0, have a 5.5 inch display (1440 x 2560), sport a Samsung Exynos 7420 (octa core, 64-bit) processor and have two cameras. The front facing camera will be 5MP and the rear one, 20MP. On the memory front, the S6 will allegedly come with 3GB RAM and 32GB of ROM (internal storage). While there's no mention of SD card support, the S6 will probably still support SD cards.
None of this is official of course and will likely remain so until the Mobile World Congress next year. Until then, just enjoy the Galaxy S5 while it's still top of the Galaxy heap.
