Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 3 Rumored to Get Waterproof Versions

There's a rumor that Samsung will be introducing waterproof versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, as well as Samsung Galaxy S5. This is likely due to positive feedback and sales numbers of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.

According to Korean language tech publication ET News (who quoted industry sources), Samsung might be introducing a waterproof version of its recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Also rumored to be getting the semi-rugged treatment is Samsung's next flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Decisions to create semi-rugged versions of its future flagship devices are said to be based on the positive sales figures for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Samsung is also said to be working on new material types -- like resin -- in a bid to get away from it's reputation for creating plastic phones.
