Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE Attracts Huge Crowds at All Three Telcos

At around 4+pm, the queue outside StarHub Plaza Singapura for the Samsung Galaxy Note II was said to consist of around 400 to 500 people and growing!

While the Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE (16GB) has not been formally launched yet, hundreds of people have been queuing outside selected telco stores to get their hands on the favorable 'phablet' (a new term for devices that cross between the form and functions of a phone and tablet). Those who have previously registered their interest here at M1, SingTel and StarHub can collect their smartphones from 6pm onwards today at M1 Paragon, SingTel ComCentre and StarHub Plaza Singapura respectively; those who have yet to do so can get the phones at from tomorrow onwards with contracts at all telcos or without contract ($998) at designated shops. Of course, there are some incentives for those who registered, which include a free accessory pack (worth S$202) consisting of a flip cover, protective back cover, car adaptor and a portable battery charger. Plus, the chance to win "SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR III in SINGAPORE" concert tickets.

At about 5:40pm, all queue numbers for the Galaxy Note II LTE had been given out at M1. Reportedly, there were already about 300 people in queue at about 5pm. (Source: Samsung)

A day earlier, SingTel started the ball rolling by unveiling its price plans for the Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE, which was followed later by StarHub. M1 joined the fray by announcing their price plans just a couple of hours earlier this afternoon. For new subscribers, here's a quick look at how the price plans are across the three telcos. Naturally, our coverage doesn't just end here. We managed to get down to the three locations and had a good look at the growing crowds at all three sites.

Singtel will have more than 4000 customers over the two days, with appointment bookings available for customers. But for now, the queuing continues; good news is, over 400 lucky Note II owners were attended to over a 2-hour period. (Source: Singtel)
