Samsung will be holding its next Galaxy Unpacked launch event on the 2nd August in New York City to launch the Galaxy Note 7. But when will it be available for purchase in Singapore?

Based on what we've heard from sources, the Galaxy Note 7 will be available for consumers to purchase on the 20th August, Saturday. In case you didn't realize, previous Galaxy Note devices also went on sale on a Saturday. @evleaks tweeted in May that the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in the U.S in the same week.

If history is any indication, Samsung and its retail partners including telcos should be taking in pre-orders and registration of interest shortly after the launch event in New York. As with any major phone launch, it will likely have appointment bookings for consumers to collect the device a day prior to the local retail sailes. So those who act fast can be owners of the Galaxy Note 7 on the 19th August.
