While Galaxy Note 10.1 users are waiting patiently for the Android 4.1 update, Samsung seems to be preparing a surprise for them - a Premium Suite upgrade which is brimming with new features. Here's a quick look at the new features:

Multi-Window

First seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note II, Multi-Window will be coming to the Galaxy Note 10.1 as well. It allows you to view multiple apps simultaneously in two modes: Cascade View and Dual View.

Cascade View gives you a flow patterned view of up to 16 apps (mostly Samsung's own apps such as Email, S Note and S Planner) while Dual View lets you open two apps side by side.

Air View

Hovering the S Pen over videos, S Note, S Planner, Photo and Email will give you a preview of its contents without having to open the app separately.

Quick Command

Quick Command is another innovative use of the S Pen where you draw a series of signs to launch their respective apps such as Email and Google Search.

Easy Clip

You can now easily outline and crop a particular object or text on a photo, and then transfer to selected apps such as S Note, Email, Messaging and Dropbox.

Enhanced Handwriting

With enhanced handwriting, you can send handwritten notes via Email or handwrite memos in S Planner (only works in Month View mode)

Enhanced S Note

Developed and optimized for use with the S Pen, the Enhanced S Note now offers more effects (photo effects and image filters) and new templates for you to express your creativity.

Photo Note and Paper Artist

Both Photo Note and Paper Artist features allow you to do more with your photos in different ways. While Photo Note enables you to write personal notes or memories on the backs of photos, Paper Artist gives you a variety of picture editing tools to personalize your photos.

Samsung is definitely putting in a lot of efforts for its Galaxy Note line-up of products. Earlier this year, Samsung also rolled out a collection of S-Pen optimized apps, known as the Samsung Premium Suite, to the Galaxy Note device alongside the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. Below is a video preview of all the new features for the Galaxy Note 10.1:
