Apart from the much-hyped Galaxy Note 3 phablet and the Galaxy Gear smart watch, Samsung has another new product that was launched during the Unpacked 2013 Episode 2 event in Berlin and this is the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Samsung’s latest addition to its formidable array of Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, as its moniker suggests, is a tablet with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that boasts 2560 x 1600 resolution. Similar to the Galaxy Note 3, the new tablet comes with the S Pen stylus, runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM.
Samsung offers the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition in different configurations. The tablet is available in Wi-Fi only variant as well as a version that supports both 3G and 4G LTE via micro-SIM. In terms of storage, the tablet is available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models, all of which are equipped with a microSD slot that can accommodate up to 64GB for expansion. On the imaging front, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition has an 8-megapixel main camera with an LED flash and another 2-megapixel in front. The connectivity options that are available on Samsung’s new tablet include a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB, and Wi-Fi. The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition also comes with a non-removable 8220mAh lithium ion battery module. The local price and release of the tablet is not yet confirmed.
