Samsung and Google launched the Galaxy Nexus, making it the world's first smartphone running on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Equipped with a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display technology at 720p resolution, Galaxy Nexus is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor, and offers a redesigned camera which features the panorama mode, 1080p video capture, zero-shutter lag, and much more.
The Ice Cream Sandwich introduces the Face Unlock, which uses facial recognition to unlock the device. Android Beam allows web page, app, and YouTube video sharing by simply tapping your phones together.
Engineered to be the first to receive software upgrades and new applications the moment they are made available, Galaxy Nexus also features services including Google Earth, Movie Studio, YouTube, syncing with Google Calendar, and a revamped Google+ app.
It will be available by Jan 2012, at SGD$948 (inclusive of GST), without contract.
