Sales of Samsung Galaxy S6 models expected to hit record numbers in Korea

A Samsung official revealed to Yonhap News that sales of the Galaxy S6 models are expected to hit record numbers in Korea.

Samsung's strategy of focusing on premium devices is helping the company get back in the game after failing to meet expectations in the previous quarters.

According to Yonhap News, a Samsung official revealed that the company is on track to hit record sales numbers for the Galaxy S6 models which were available in some global markets on April 10. The official also stated that the Galaxy S6 models surpassed its predecessors in terms of sales volume in its home ground.

Due to the overwhelming demand, shortages are expected to last about a month before manufacturing capacity catches up. In addition, the pricier Galaxy S6 Edge accounted for half the sales numbers. Samsung initially expected the Galaxy S6 to outsell its curved counterpart by 3:1.

Samsung has clearly raised the bar again with the Galaxy S6 models and this is apparent in our review of the devices; we found both phones to the best that they have ever made. So if you are shopping for an Android flagship smartphone, there is currently no better choice.
