ASUS Chief Financial Officer David Chang revealed in November that sales of the 7-inch tablet are approaching one million units per month, which helped push the company's net profits in Q3 2012 to US$230 million. Now, it appears that Google and ASUS will have another good holiday run in December.

Quoting information from Taiwan-based supply chain makers, DigiTimes reports that global sales of the Google Nexus 7 are expected to hit over one million units in December. Its sources indicate that an estimated two to three million Nexus 7 units are expected to ship in this quarter.

We believe the sales momentum will continue to pick up pace as Google recently dropped the price of the 16GB Nexus 7 tablet and introduced a 32GB model alongside a cellular variant. In addition, the Nexus 7 impressed us so much that it is the first tablet to garner our Editor's Choice Award.

Hitting the one million sales milestone for an Android vendor is considered impressive, even though it may seem modest when compared to the three million iPads that Apple sold in just three days after the launch of its iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad.
