The above image may be the first snapshot of Research in Motion (RIM)'s upcoming BBX phone which is codenamed "London" and is expected to be launched sometime in June 2012. The London is said to have the following specifications:

  • Dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 16GB onboard storage capacity
  • 8-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel front facign camera
  • Profile thinner than the iPhone 4 but as big as the Samsung Galaxy S II

The looks of the device seems to fall in line with what Alec Saunders, Vice President of Developer Relations and Ecosystem Development for RIM said last week about BBX phones sporting a different design from the Bold series

As the expected release of the phone is more than half a year from now, it is possible that we are looking at a prototype and the final product may not look like this after several changes.
