Reminder: Samsung's Galaxy Note7 Exchange program starts today at 5PM
Exchange options
At 5PM today (26th October) until 6th November, Note7 customers (regardless of where they purchased their Note7) will be able to exchange their Note7 for one of the following:-
- Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge + S$250
- Or opt for a full refund of S$1,168
You can do this by registering your information at Samsung's Note7 exchange website: www.samsung.com/sg/
Can accessories be refunded?
Samsung will also refund the full retail value of the following original Samsung Galaxy Note7 accessories in exchange for the return of these accessories:
- Galaxy Note7 S View Standing Cover
- Galaxy Note7 Clear View Cover
- Galaxy Note7 LED View Cover
- Galaxy Note7 Leather Cover
- Galaxy Note7 Clear Cover
- Galaxy Note7 Keyboard Cover
- Galaxy Note7 Back Pack
Take note that any freebie packs/accessories provided with your device will not be refundable.
Online registration process
When registering on the website, you'll have to provide your details for a free home delivery to pick up your Note7 and any accessories, as well as deliver your S7 Edge if you opted for an exchange. The free home delivery is offered whether the Galaxy Note7 customer chooses an exchange or a refund.
Galaxy Note7 owners will be able to indicate the following on the website:-
- Select Exchange or Refund
- Select preferred Galaxy S7 edge colour for Exchange customers, subject to availability
- Select the original Samsung Galaxy Note7 accessory to be refunded
- Select preferred time slot from available home delivery slots
Samsung Concierge customers who opt to exchange their Galaxy Note7 device for the Galaxy S7 edge will have their Samsung Concierge services transferred to their Galaxy S7 edge and updated to take effect from the date of the exchange. Samsung Concierge customers who choose to receive a refund for their Galaxy Note7 will receive a refund of $38 for their Samsung Concierge in cheque.
Customers will need to provide the following details when logging in to arrange for the exchange or refund:-
- Full name as per bank account
- NRIC or FIN number
- Mobile contact
- Email address
- Home delivery address
Notes on Home Delivery option
During the home delivery, customers will receive the cheque(s) for the amounts due to them, in exchange for the Galaxy Note7 device and any applicable original Samsung Galaxy Note7 accessories to be returned.
Other notes for all Galaxy Note7 customers
All Galaxy Note7 customers are required to back up their data using Samsung Smart Switch (http://www.samsung.com/sg/
Galaxy Note7 owners who are considering holding onto their phone are highly encouraged to register for an exchange/refund regardless, as the website for exchange/refunds will only be available until 6th November. If your phone has problems after that date, you will have to call Samsung Singapore directly to try to arrange an exchange/refund. A spokesperson for Samsung Singapore said, "we encourage everyone to arrange for the exchange or refund through the system."
