Everything about the Galaxy Note 8 has been leaked except for the retail price and release date, which are usually revealed during the official launch event. However, ETNews claimed to have information on the release date.

According to representatives from the various South Korean telcos, Samsung has decided to release the Galaxy Note 8 on 15 September, Friday in its home market.

“We are going to sell Galaxy Note 8 starting from the 15th of September.” said a representative for a mobile network provider. “Its price has not been set yet.”

“Samsung Electronics decided on the release date of Galaxy Note 8.” said a representative for a different mobile network provider. “There is almost zero chance that it will change the release date of Galaxy Note 8."

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 could start as soon as after the launch event. Telcos are said to be considering a pre-order period of 10 days to 14 days so that consumers have ample time and opportunties to try out the phone before making the purchase. There is also a high likelihood that the LG V30 could hit retail shelves on the same day although its launch event is set on 31st August.
