The Razer Blade Pro reforged

It's still the same sleek machine on the outside, it's the inside that's changed.

It was early last month when Razer refreshed the Razer Blade and tuned it into a finely honed machine. Now, a month after the reemergence of the New Razer Blade, the Razer Blade Pro too has gone under the knife and reemerged a more powerful beast. Similar to the New Razer Blade, Razer's calling the updated Razer Blade the New Razer Blade. Yeah, we were floored by how original it was too. But at least it's easy to remember, right?

The New Razer Blade Pro's main changes are to its graphics card and its processor. It now packs a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M (4GB), an upgrade from the older NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M (2GB) its 2014 edition came with. The processor's now an Intel Core i7-4720HQ (2.6GHz, 6MB cache), a step up from the previous Intel Core i7-4700HQ that was found in the 2014 edition. The rest of the hardware remains unchanged. It still has a 17.3 inch a Full HD (1920 x1080) display, 16GB DDR3L RAM and runs Windows 8.1. There are multiple storage options though, ranging from a 128GB mSATA SSD with 500GB HDD choice to one with a 512GB mSATA SSD with 1TB HDD.

The Razer Blade Pro is already up for sale in the US, though it seems like Razer's website doesn't ship to Singapore yet. Pricing has been released though, with three storage different options (the rest of the specs are the same across all variations) available. The first tier, has a 128GB mSATA SSD with 500GB HDD and is going for $3599.90. The second tier has a 256GB mSATA SSD with 500GB HDD for $3799.90. The final tier boasts a 512GB mSATA SSD with 1TB HDD and costs $3999.90.

You can register your interest on Razer's page, which will email you when the New Razer Blade Pro's on sale.
