The USB-based headset achieves its 7.1 surround sound effect with its "advanced virtual surround sound engine." It also has a digital omnidirectional microphone that can be stowed away when not in used. This helps the headset maintain its sleek form factor. With its unified Synapse 2.0 configuration software, the user is able to fine tune the settings of the headset for a customized aural experience.
