With the launch of Snapdragon 835 chipset for high-end mobile devices, Qualcomm is shifting its focus to mid-range devices with the likely launch of three Snapdragon 600 series processors on 9 May.

Based on a tweet by reliable tipsters @rquandt and @mmddj_china, Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 660, 635 and 630 chipsets. Not much is known about the Snapdragon 630 and 635, but the Snapdragon 660 is said to have better performance and efficiency than the Snapdragon 652.

It may have the same Kryo 280 cores as the Snapdragon 835, but the Snapdragon 660 will be built on a 14nm process rather than the 10nm process for the Snapdragon 835. There are also rumors about a new GPU.
