QNAP TS-x70 Tower Series Turbo NAS Provides Scale-Up Solutions

QNAP has announced the release of the business-class TS-x70 series Turbo NAS. Available in 4-, 6-, and 8-bay tower models, the TS-x70 series with scale-up support is ideal for the growing data needs of modern business environments.

Powering on an Intel 2.6GHz dual-core processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM with the availability of four Gigabit LAN ports, the TS-x70 series supports 10GbE high-speed networking, making it suitable for applications such as real-time HD video editing and data center environments. Supporting online capacity expansion by connecting multiple QNAP RAID expansion enclosures (REXP-1200U-RP / REXP-1600U-RP) to expand total storage to 100TB raw capacity, businesses can expand their storage as need and have more control over their storage deployment.

Even with this high scalability and performance, administrating the TS-x70 series is effortless with QNAP’s QTS 4.0 OS. With an intuitive UI, IT administrators can easily find desired functions, monitor system information and run multiple tasks simultaneously. In addition, the QTS 4.0 offers a full range of applications for business use, including file management, sharing, backup, multimedia applications and more.

The TS-x70 series is a proven storage unit for server virtualization via iSCSI/IP-SAN deployment, and is compatible with a range of solutions including VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server 2012. The support of VMware VAAI, QNAP vSphere Client plug-in further enhances the efficiency of operations & management in virtualization applications.

The TS-x70 series also provides businesses with flexible backup solutions. Windows and Mac users can use the QNAP NetBak Replicator and Apple Time Machine respectively to easily back up their data. The series also supports disaster recovery solutions including Real-time Remote Replication (RTRR) for real-time or scheduled data replication backup to cloud storage including Amazon S3, ElephantDrive, Symform, Dropbox, and Google Drive and third-party backup software such as Veeam Backup & Replication and Acronis True Image.

Users can also increase the functionalities of the TS-x70 series with QNAP’s built-in App Center that provides various install-on-demand apps developed by QNAP and third-party developers.
