QNAP has launched its business-class TS-x69L series Turbo NAS.
Available in 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8-drive versions, the new series is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor with 1GB DDR3 RAM (upgradeable to 3GB), and is compatible with Windows, Linux/UNIX, and the Mac OS X Mountain Lion. With support for SATA 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch HDD and SSD up to 4TB, it is equipped with 512MB DOM with dual firmware image design for system downtime prevention. In the event of corrupted firmware caused by accidental power loss during system boot, the NAS will boot with the backup firmware and then automatically recover the failed one for continuous system uptime.
Designed to fulfill SMB users' needs for comprehensive and reliable storage solutions to optimize virtualization environments, TS-x69L series also supports Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), which can be used to create different network segments for different devices to communicate with each other regardless of their physical location.
**Update: The TS-269L, TS-469L, TS-569L, TS-669L and TS-869L are currently shipping. The HD Station is available for the complete Turbo NAS TS-x69 series, with firmware 3.8.1 or newer.
