Windows 10 Anniversary Update now available

First shown in April and subsequently tested by Windows Insiders over several updates, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, which sports major new features like a new stylus-focused Windows Ink experience, a power-efficient and extensions-friendly Microsoft Edge browser, new advanced security features and gaming experiences, is now available.

According to Microsoft, the Anniversary Update (or Windows 10 version 1607 after it’s installed) is being rolled out to Windows 10 PCs across the world in phases starting with the newer machines first; Windows 10 Mobile phones will get it in the coming weeks.

If you’ve chosen to have updates installed automatically on your device, you don’t have to do anything to get this Anniversary Update; it’ll be pushed to you automatically through Windows Update. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update in Windows Update. For impatient folks, you can go to this support page to get the update now.

For advanced users who prefer a clean install, ISOs are available, as well as a clean install tool.
