Spotted at Microsoft's Think Next conference in Tel Aviv, this prototype battery charger from Israeli startup StoreDot uses nanotechnology to charge your smartphone from 0 - 100 percent in just 30 seconds.
The StoreDot prototype uses bio-organic nanodots, tiny conductive crystals, to enable the rapid charging process. The only downside to the product seems to be the size of the device, which looks to be bigger than the actual smartphone it is charging, and at least three times as thick.
The company hasn't revealed exactly how much the charger might cost, only that it will retail for roughly twice the amount of a typical phone charger.
