Price hike in Apple App Store due to exchange rates, starts from S$1.48

The fluctuations in currency rates has led Apple to increase its app prices in 7 countries which include Singapore.

In a note to developers, Apple states that prices for apps and in-app purchases will increase in Canada, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and South Africa. For consumers in Canada, New Zealand, Mexico and Singapore, subscriptions will not be interrupted and an email will be sent to inform users of the price hike.

For iOS users in Singapore, the cheapest paid app will cost S$1.48, an increase of $0.20 from the current S$1.28. The price hike will be reflected in the App Store within the next 72 hours.
