NVIDIA has finally released its highly-anticipated GeForce GTX 660, after last month's launch of GeForce GTX 660 Ti.
Within the GTX 660 card series, this standard 660 version boasts average configurations, when compared to the Ti (highest end) and the SE (said to feature the the lowest clock speeds).
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 is the first performance oriented Kepler card that does not adopt the GK104 core. In fact, it employs a completely fresh GPU core which was engineered distinctively for it - the GK106. Also, the GTX 660 can be acknowledged as NVIDIA's first true mid-range Kepler card.
