Prepare for USB Type-C with SanDisk's new Dual USB Type-C flash drive
USB Type-C got thrown into the spotlight recently when Apple announced that its new MacBook will feature a single USB Type-C port for both power, video output and connectivity with peripherals such as external storage devices.
And it's not the new MacBook alone that will be making use of this new connector. A recent report from Strategy Analytics suggests that by 2016 12% of handsets alone will feature Type-C connectors too.
To prepare for that, SanDisk has just released its new Dual USB Type-C flash drive. As its name suggests, it is a USB flash drive with connectors for standard USB 3.0 (Type-A) and USB Type-C.
The drive comes in 32GB capacity and is compatible with SanDisk's Memory Zone app, that lets users easily manage and also transfer their content and data across compatible devices.
The SanDisk Dual USB Type-C drive will be available from mid-April and is priced at S$99.
