Plantronics has just announced the pricing and availability for its BackBeat Pro headset.

Plantronics’s new BackBeat Pro wireless active noise-cancelling headphones will be available locally soon!

With up to 24 hours of listening time on a single charge with noise-cancelling and wireless on, the BackBeat Pro certainly seems capable of coming close to outlasting your playlist. Dual-mic noise cancelling technology helps you tune out external sounds so you can enjoy clear, life-like audio. If you want to hear what’s going on around you, simply activate the OpenMic feature, which pushes the music to the background and amplifies environmental sounds.

Use it with the included cable, and you’ll get up to 60 hours of playback with active noise cancellation – enough for a flight around the world! The BackBeat Pro can last for up to 21 days of standby, and up to 6 months in DeepSleep hibernation mode.

Advanced Bluetooth technology lets you stream music from up to 100m away if you’re using a source with Class 1 Bluetooth, and smart sensors on the headset automatically pauses playback when the headphones are removed; resuming it when you put them back on. The fold-flat design and included nylon travel sleeve means the BackBeat Pro can go wherever you do.

The BackBeat Pro will be available at all authorised Plantronics dealers from October 2014 for a MSRP of S$379.
