Photos and specs of alleged Sony Xperia Z3 leaked, rumored launch in September
With the first half of 2014 gone, the rumor mill is now focused on upcoming flagship smartphones in the second half of the year and Sony is one of the few brands that popped up on the radar recently.
Thanks to several leaked photos and screenshots, we are able to get a glimpse of Sony's upcoming Xperia Z3 smartphone. One screenshot revealed the device running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset. In addition, the device is seen with the same 20.7-megapixel rear camera sensor like the Z1 and Z2.
It is also likely that Sony will retain the same display size (5.2-inches); in a comparison photo, the device has similar physical dimensions as the first generation Samsung Galaxy Note which has a 5.3-inch screen.

What could possibly change in the Xperia Z3 is the adoption of more curvy sides in contrast to the more rectangular form factor of the Z1 and Z2. Sony Mobile's Creative Director Kurozumi Yoshiro revealed to Japanese media in February that he does “not want to stick to a single design” for the Xperia smartphones and the Xperia Z3 may be the first device to sport a different design.
Sony Mobile is rumored to be launching the Xperia Z3 in September, which will go up against the likes of Apple's upcoming iPhone(s), Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy F smartphone.
