Philips Fidelio Lineup of Audio Products Refreshed at IFA 2012

We have been waxing lyrical about Philips Fidelio products for a while now. The DS9/10 impressed us when we had it in our labs for testing. They had recently refreshed the lineup with a new introduction a month ago. But at IFA 2012, Philips has unveiled a slew of products which should have audiophiles excited.

Philips Fidelio P8 and P9 Portable Speakers

Keeping up with the recent trend of Bluetooth enabled, portable speakers such as the Bose SoundLink, Philips has decided to get in on the action in the shape of the P8 and the P9. The former comes with full range of woofer driversand wOOx technologies while the latter comes with built-in cross over filter for quality performance. Philips Fidelio Primo Docking Station

The old docking station from Philips, the Fidelio Primo gets an upgrade into the year 2012. The primary change is that the device now gets AirPlay technology. In addition, the bass reflex ports have also been redesigned to better deliver the lower frequencies. A full list of the features is as follows.

Philips Fidelio 5.1 Surround Sound System HTB9550

The Fidelio range sprawls over to new audio categories with the Immersive Sound Home Theater HTB9550 which comes with 360degree sound. Three drivers are included in each speaker in a front and side firing configuration to help provide a soundstage capable of performing on par with cinema quality sound. The active subwoofer can be tuned individually allowing the user to adjust the sound palette to their liking.

Built-in Smart TV features also make the HTB9550 attractive for those looking to upgrade their display set with applications and internet features. With the purchase of video camera, you can even use Skype with your home theater system.

The device has Smart TV Plus capabilities made possible thanks to built-in Wi-Fi. This provides access to a host of special Philips services including Net TV, SimplyShare and MyRemote.
